Description

2 a.m. Fire check.
The whole street is asleep except the pitmaster and the smoker.
One more split, a look at the temp, and a minute longer standing there than needed.
The cook's not half done. There's nowhere else worth being.

Soft, warm and broken in from the first wear. Made for the overnight cooks and the cold walk out to the pit.

Why You'll Love It
• 50% cotton, 50% polyester blend that stays warm without the bulk
• Air-jet yarn for a softer feel and less pilling
• Double-lined hood with matching drawstring
• Classic relaxed fit. Between sizes? Size up
• Black · Dark Heather · Military Green · Red · Sport Grey, all in S–5XL
• The gift for the one who sets an alarm to check the fire

It Brings People Together
The overnight shift is quiet, but nobody does it alone for long. A buddy texts at midnight asking for the temp. The kids come out in the morning to see if it's ready. By lunch the whole crew is standing around the pit, hearing the story about 2 a.m.

Bigger Than BBQ
The pit gave our founder, a U.S. Army veteran, something he couldn't find anywhere else: purpose. 10% of net profits help other veterans find theirs.

Long night. Steady fire. Good morning.

Prefer short sleeves? This design also comes as a t-shirt.

BBQ ISN'T JUST COOKING.

IT'S A PERSONALITY.

You know the difference between a smoke ring and a grill mark. You've pulled an all-nighter for a brisket. You've explained "the stall" to someone who didn't get it — and never will.

This gear is for you. Built by a pitmaster, worn by one too.

🔥 Heavyweight cotton — built to handle heat, smoke, and whatever you spill at 2 AM

🇺🇸 Printed in the USA — every order supports American jobs and American craft

🛡️ 365-day guarantee — we stand behind our gear longer than most people stand at their smoker

The guy behind the gear

From the pit to a purpose

I'm Sean, a U.S. Army veteran and pitmaster of Risky Brisket Championship BBQ. After six years in the Army, BBQ became my therapy: the patience, the fire, the process. Eighteen years on the competition circuit later, I design every piece of Meat Sweats gear and wear-test it at contests and classes before it ever hits the site.

Today, 10% of net profits go directly to veteran mental health charities, because no one who served should fight alone. Every piece of gear you buy helps veterans get access to culinary arts as PTSD therapy through our 501(c)(3) charities.
