Description

The neighborhood cook-off is back.
Five smokers lined up on the block, five pitmasters trash-talking since sunrise.
The judges are a couple of kids and somebody's mother-in-law. The trophy is a spray-painted spatula.
Nobody has ever wanted anything more.

Heavyweight cotton that feels broken in, not worn out. Built for long days of cooking and longer days of bragging.

Why You'll Love It
• Heavyweight, preshrunk cotton (heather colors are a cotton blend)
• Classic relaxed fit. Between sizes? Size up
• Double-needle stitching at the collar, sleeves and hem
• Black S–5XL · Red S–5XL · Royal S–5XL · Military Green S–4XL · Dark Heather S–3XL
• The gift for the one who's never lost a cook-off, at least in their own telling

It Brings People Together
A little friendly competition is the best excuse for a block party. Everybody brings their best, everybody tastes everything, and the arguments over who really won last for a year. The only sure winners are the people doing the eating.

Bigger Than BBQ
The pit gave our founder, a U.S. Army veteran, something he couldn't find anywhere else: purpose. 10% of net profits help other veterans find theirs.

Bring it. Smoke it. Brag about it.

BBQ ISN'T JUST COOKING.

IT'S A PERSONALITY.

You know the difference between a smoke ring and a grill mark. You've pulled an all-nighter for a brisket. You've explained "the stall" to someone who didn't get it — and never will.

This gear is for you. Built by a pitmaster, worn by one too.

🔥 Heavyweight cotton — built to handle heat, smoke, and whatever you spill at 2 AM

🇺🇸 Printed in the USA — every order supports American jobs and American craft

🛡️ 365-day guarantee — we stand behind our gear longer than most people stand at their smoker

The guy behind the gear

From the pit to a purpose

I'm Sean, a U.S. Army veteran and pitmaster of Risky Brisket Championship BBQ. After six years in the Army, BBQ became my therapy: the patience, the fire, the process. Eighteen years on the competition circuit later, I design every piece of Meat Sweats gear and wear-test it at contests and classes before it ever hits the site.

Today, 10% of net profits go directly to veteran mental health charities, because no one who served should fight alone. Every piece of gear you buy helps veterans get access to culinary arts as PTSD therapy through our 501(c)(3) charities.
