Description

The tiny hibachi on the first apartment balcony.
The hand-me-down kettle with the wobbly leg.
The gas grill that saw a hundred weeknight dinners, and the smoker that changed everything.
Every grill held a chapter of life. Some of the best ones.

Heavyweight cotton that feels broken in, not worn out. A little nostalgia, built to last.

Why You'll Love It
• Heavyweight, preshrunk cotton (heather, grey and Ash colors are cotton blends)
• Classic relaxed fit. Between sizes? Size up
• Double-needle stitching at the collar, sleeves and hem
• Black S–5XL · Ash S–5XL · Graphite Heather S–5XL · Red S–5XL · Sport Grey S–5XL · White S–5XL · Military Green S–4XL
• The gift for the one who still talks about their first grill like an old friend

It Brings People Together
Ask anyone about their first grill and you'll get a story: where they lived, who they cooked for, what went wrong. Those grills were there for first dates, new homes and late-night dinners with friends. Wear this and somebody will tell you theirs.

Bigger Than BBQ
The pit gave our founder, a U.S. Army veteran, something he couldn't find anywhere else: purpose. 10% of net profits help other veterans find theirs.

Old grills. Good years. Better ones ahead.

BBQ ISN'T JUST COOKING.

IT'S A PERSONALITY.

You know the difference between a smoke ring and a grill mark. You've pulled an all-nighter for a brisket. You've explained "the stall" to someone who didn't get it — and never will.

This gear is for you. Built by a pitmaster, worn by one too.

🔥 Heavyweight cotton — built to handle heat, smoke, and whatever you spill at 2 AM

🇺🇸 Printed in the USA — every order supports American jobs and American craft

🛡️ 365-day guarantee — we stand behind our gear longer than most people stand at their smoker

The guy behind the gear

From the pit to a purpose

I'm Sean, a U.S. Army veteran and pitmaster of Risky Brisket Championship BBQ. After six years in the Army, BBQ became my therapy: the patience, the fire, the process. Eighteen years on the competition circuit later, I design every piece of Meat Sweats gear and wear-test it at contests and classes before it ever hits the site.

Today, 10% of net profits go directly to veteran mental health charities, because no one who served should fight alone. Every piece of gear you buy helps veterans get access to culinary arts as PTSD therapy through our 501(c)(3) charities.
