Description

Grandpa has been doing this longer than anyone at the table has been alive.
Same spatula. Same stories. Same "don't rush it."
The grandkids pull up lawn chairs just to watch.
Some things are worth stepping back for.

Heavyweight cotton that feels broken in, not worn out. Built for family reunions, birthdays and every Sunday cookout.

Why You'll Love It
• Heavyweight, preshrunk cotton
• Classic relaxed fit, sizes S–5XL. Between sizes? Size up
• Double-needle stitching at the collar, sleeves and hem
• The gift from the grandkids that Grandpa will wear to every cookout

It Brings People Together
When Grandpa's at the grill, three generations end up in one backyard. The kids hear the old stories, the parents finally sit down, and somebody asks how he gets the burgers just right. He'll tell them, eventually. First, everybody has to stand back.

Bigger Than BBQ
The pit gave our founder, a U.S. Army veteran, something he couldn't find anywhere else: purpose. 10% of net profits help other veterans find theirs.

Stand back. Learn something. Eat well.

Want it warmer? This design also comes as a hoodie.

BBQ ISN'T JUST COOKING.

IT'S A PERSONALITY.

You know the difference between a smoke ring and a grill mark. You've pulled an all-nighter for a brisket. You've explained "the stall" to someone who didn't get it — and never will.

This gear is for you. Built by a pitmaster, worn by one too.

šŸ”„ Heavyweight cotton — built to handle heat, smoke, and whatever you spill at 2 AM

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Printed in the USA — every order supports American jobs and American craft

šŸ›”ļø 365-day guarantee — we stand behind our gear longer than most people stand at their smoker

The guy behind the gear

From the pit to a purpose

I'm Sean, a U.S. Army veteran and pitmaster of Risky Brisket Championship BBQ. After six years in the Army, BBQ became my therapy: the patience, the fire, the process. Eighteen years on the competition circuit later, I design every piece of Meat Sweats gear and wear-test it at contests and classes before it ever hits the site.

Today, 10% of net profits go directly to veteran mental health charities, because no one who served should fight alone. Every piece of gear you buy helps veterans get access to culinary arts as PTSD therapy through our 501(c)(3) charities.
