Description

One bag of charcoal. One pork butt. One whole Saturday.
No waiting room, no clipboard, no copay.
Just a kamado holding steady at 250, a cooler within reach and nowhere else to be.
By dinnertime there's pulled pork for twelve and a lot less on the mind.

Heavyweight cotton that feels broken in, not worn out. Built for long, easy days at the pit.

Why You'll Love It
• Heavyweight, preshrunk cotton (heather colors are a cotton blend)
• Classic relaxed fit. Between sizes? Size up
• Double-needle stitching at the collar, sleeves and hem
• Black S–5XL · Red S–5XL · White S–5XL · Military Green S–4XL · Carolina Blue S–4XL · Dark Heather S–3XL
• The gift for the one who swears the smoker is the best money they ever spent

It Brings People Together
Here's the thing about a 12-hour cook: it's hard to do alone. Friends drift by to keep the cook company, neighbors bring a side dish, and the backyard fills up with laughter. The meat's great. The company might be even better medicine.

Bigger Than BBQ
The pit gave our founder, a U.S. Army veteran, something he couldn't find anywhere else: purpose. 10% of net profits help other veterans find theirs.

Low cost. Slow smoke. Good people.

BBQ ISN'T JUST COOKING.

IT'S A PERSONALITY.

You know the difference between a smoke ring and a grill mark. You've pulled an all-nighter for a brisket. You've explained "the stall" to someone who didn't get it — and never will.

This gear is for you. Built by a pitmaster, worn by one too.

🔥 Heavyweight cotton — built to handle heat, smoke, and whatever you spill at 2 AM

🇺🇸 Printed in the USA — every order supports American jobs and American craft

🛡️ 365-day guarantee — we stand behind our gear longer than most people stand at their smoker

The guy behind the gear

From the pit to a purpose

I'm Sean, a U.S. Army veteran and pitmaster of Risky Brisket Championship BBQ. After six years in the Army, BBQ became my therapy: the patience, the fire, the process. Eighteen years on the competition circuit later, I design every piece of Meat Sweats gear and wear-test it at contests and classes before it ever hits the site.

Today, 10% of net profits go directly to veteran mental health charities, because no one who served should fight alone. Every piece of gear you buy helps veterans get access to culinary arts as PTSD therapy through our 501(c)(3) charities.
